Hexagrams

Fundamentally these are secular works based on the Hexagram or ‘The Star of David’. These images are compounded of two equilateral triangles which were used in historical cultural contexts: e.g. Hanafism, Raelianism, Jewish Identity, Hinduism and Occultism.

Using the Hexagram on the flag of Israel does, therefore, suggest the many influences and difficulties the people have undergone. There is a reminder in the imagery of King Solomon’s practise of the occult.

The works have been achieved with Collograph prints and oil paints. The geometric spaces create a weaving of intricate and mystifying imagery.
